Hi! I am Kawal Gill, a health and wellness blogger, a wife and a mother of two beautiful kids. I’m an Engineer by profession but passionate about Nutrition (currently studying Nutrition). I live in New Zealand, but a big piece of my heart is still in India. I am passionate about living a healthy lifestyle without any diet fads and by following the traditional way. I have gone back to basics in a big way.
My passion for nutrition started when I was diagnosed with PCOS after having 2 miscarriages (one was at 20 weeks gestation) at the age of 30. I was referred to a few doctors but no one could give me any definite answers. Everyone was ready to give me different kind of pills to suppress the problems, some asked me to lose weight, some asked me to restrict eating carbohydrates and dairy (2 things that I love the most!).
I decided that this is not how I want to live my life. I was now on a mission to get myself healthy and fight PCOS on my own. I listened to my body, read books, did my research. And that’s how I started my journey of living a life of no-short cuts, no-diet fads and hence a life of no regrets. I’m happy to say that I achieved it. I beat PCOS and I have 2 beautiful kids, that too without any fertility treatment and I couldn’t be any happier.
I not only overcame PCOS but I have never been this healthy before. I feel healthy, beautiful and happy from within. I also helped a few family members and friends with their health issues. While healing myself, I also realized that nutrition is my passion. So, I decided to study Human Nutrition which I am currently pursuing.
On this blog of mine, I will be sharing my experiences, findings, opinions, ideas, reveal some super-foods, yummy healthy recipes, and some beautiful stories to help women with PCOS and everyone else to achieve what I have achieved with my lifestyle, because health is not a size, It’s lifestyle!

I hope, I can at least help a few people to be a stronger, healthier, happier and a better version of themselves through the power of self-love, self-care and clean eating. Forget about the weight-loss, forget skinny, gain HEALTH instead. Let’s go back to basics, let’s think Beyond Calories.
